Petirojo - The USB Antivirus
USB memory sticks have a tendency to get infected with computer viruses very frequently. One infected USB device can infect others at a rapid pace. It is, therefore, convenient to spot infected devices and disinfect them as soon as possible. Petirojo is an open source desktop application written in a platform independent language whose task is to scan and disinfect all USB memory devices.
The application is multi-lingual and currently it has been translated to two languages, Spanish and English. The application can be run under Windows, Linux, Mac and other major operating systems. It comes pre-configured and ready to run out of the box.
The application is really intuitive. After reading more about it in the documentation(to be finished soon!) and video tutorials you will become an expert in no time. The application is of course open source and can be used, distributed and modified under the terms of the General Public License version 3. To read more on the license terms please refer to GPL v3 license.
The application is currently hosted at Kenai.com. You can download the files here. That site also provides a forum for feedback and open discussion about it, as well as bug tracker and mailing lists for user support.
Enjoy!
